Safety Academy
Control Hazards and Minimise Your Risks
The courses we offer are designed not just for new starters but can also provide an excellent refresher for more experienced personnel. They provide opportunities to discuss and share experiences and knowledge about how to manage safety, claims and risk. Experienced trainers deliver the courses in a comfortable learning environment. The courses are interactive and are designed to both educate and inspire.
Classroom Courses
The Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) Managing Safety
This course is designed to enable individuals to determine the practical actions they need to take to handle health and safety in their teams. The course will provide delegates with the knowledge and skills to tackle the health and safety issues they’re responsible for and identify why health and safety is such an essential part of their job.
We will be running courses in the north and south of the UK and in Ireland in 2024.
If you are a Travelers customer and have employees that would benefit from attending this course, please e-mail sacademy@travelers.com with their names, contact details and preferred location. We will be in touch when the next course is scheduled in the preferred area and when we have delegate spaces available.
When you attend
Travelers will cover the cost of the training including course materials, certificates (where applicable), venue hire and day refreshments. You must cover any additional costs, e.g. travel arrangements and overnight accommodation if necessary. Travelers will make reasonable adjustments with the training venue provider to ensure training opportunities are easily accessible. If you are concerned about LLN (language, literacy and numeracy) needs, please email sacademy@travelers.com and our Safety Academy Team will identify adequate / suitable support. For reasons beyond the control of Travelers, it may be necessary for us to change the content and timing of the programme, the date, or the venue. Should this happen, we will advise registered participants at the earliest possible opportunity.
