In light of the ongoing situation relating to the outbreak of Coronavirus (COVID-19), we have taken the decision to postpone the 2020 Academy to January 2021.
This was not an easy decision to make, but we are confident it is the right thing to do. Ultimately, the safety and wellbeing of our broker partners and employees is of the highest importance.
Applications that have been submitted are still valid. We welcome any broker partners who are considering applying to still do so, as applications will remain open until November 2020.

The Techsure Academy is aimed at those more junior in their Technology broking expertise, but with the desire to become genuine experts in this field and wishing to develop and refine their Tech knowledge.

What is Techsure?
Techsure was the market leading event put on by the Travelers Technology team for the past two years.
Why are Travelers doing this?
Back in November 2018 brokers who attended Techsure had the opportunity to virtually invest in five market moves presented to them on the day which were forged by an immense amount of market research. The Academy won the popular vote on the day, and following a successful pilot last year we’re launching another academy that'll be bigger and better than ever. We did plan for another in 2020, but due to current circumstances we've decided to postpone until 2021.
What is the ambition/vision of the programme?
It is our ambition to deliver a rigorous and innovative programme designed to educate delegates over the course of six exciting and thought-provoking sessions, each covering different tech specific ‘themes’. It is our desire to provide something genuinely market leading and empowering to our broker partners, so they are equipped with a skill set and a marker of quality by attending this academy.
What is the time commitment?
Delegates need to ensure they can attend all of the programme, which is a mixture of one and two-day sessions and a working week in the US.
Unfortunately, in light of the outbreak of coronavirus (COVID-19), the 2020 Academy has been postponed to January 2021. New dates are below. Locations for the sessions will be confirmed closer to the date.
Wednesday 27 January – Thursday 28 January 2021
Wednesday 24 February 2021
Wednesday 24 March 2021
Tuesday April 27 – Wednesday 28 April 2021
Tuesday 19 May 2021
Sunday 6 June to Friday 11 June 2021 (US trip)
All travel, including the proposed US office visit, will be subject to the relevant government travel advice in place at the time.
As part of the programme, we will be also asking all delegates to complete and present a plan to their respective nominators on how they see the tech sector and how they think their business can grow in this area. Travelers will work with the nominators to implement and review this for each of the delegates.
What is the time commitment of the Nominator?
Whilst there is no time commitment required from the nominator themselves during any of the academy sessions, this year we ask nominators of successful applicants to be involved in reviewing the delegates business plan, that will be presented to them following the final session of the academy. It is also essential that they agree for the delegate to attend all of the sessions on the dates provided above.
Do I have to attend all sessions?
Yes - with the limited amount of spaces available it is important that those fortunate to get onto the programme receive the whole suite of training provided to them. All the topics are designed to work cohesively to give the delegate a well-rounded and holistic Technology education.
How much will it cost me?
Travelers will cover the cost of the programme, including travel to and accommodation in the USA.
The delegates will be responsible for any travel and accommodation costs in the UK. Please note that not all session will be in London, locations TBC.
What is the Alumni?
After graduating from the Techsure Academy, delegates will join a pipeline of developing talent.
Who will be delivering the content?
Alongside external speakers from exciting Tech brands, who will share their experiences and thought leadership on this sector, we will have the best of Travelers showcasing our segment expertise.
Katie Bacon (Proposition Development).
