What happens in an emergency?

Step One: Notifying the Event

  • Report the incident to our claims team on 0207 645 6895 or contact your broker.
  • We will assess the information and if the event is due to an Insured Peril and is of a nature severe enough to prevent ongoing occupation of the Insured premises in the short term we will mobilise the disaster recovery service

Step Two: The Process Begins

  • Contact will begin with a call from the Event Manager at First Recovery. They will retain responsibility for the relocation process and will contact you on the designated numbers you provide on the Technical Appendix in this Pack so please ensure it has been fully completed and returned to First Recovery Limited at 10 Fenchurch Avenue, London EC3M 5BN
  • Suitable offices will be identified and upon your agreement, First Recovery technicians will attend the site bringing with them pre-configured PC’s
  • Your email domain is reinstated and internet access is provided
  • Phones redirected to the standby location
  • Rent for the first month is paid by First Recovery Limited direct to the rental provider plus the initial deposit. Rental agreements are in the Insured name so that extending the agreement can be achieved as part of your claims process.

Step Three: Business Continuity

  • You are now ready to take any other steps laid down, where applicable, in your Business Continuity Plan to ensure your business returns to full and normal operation
  • The Event Manager will check with you that you are satisfied with the arrangements and then ask you to sign off the necessary documentation.
