Travelers Championship

All of the net proceeds from this popular stop on the PGA TOUR go to more than 130 charities and since the tournament began in 1952, the Travelers Championship has raised nearly $36 million for charity.

A significant economic driver for the region, this world-class tournament attracts tens of thousands of fans annually, and features four days of national television coverage as the world's best professional golfers vie to become the champion.

Format: 72 hole stroke play
Course: TPC River Highlands, a par 70, 6,841 yard course in Cromwell, Connecticut, 10 miles south of Hartford.
  The course is a well-balanced golf test with a mixture of long and short holes. The most notable stretch is Nos. 15-17 which play around a four-acre lake. When you include the home hole, the four-hole collection is, according to Stewart Cink, “four of the most exciting finishing holes in a group anywhere in the world.”
